Computer Science Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) — Apple OSX

  1. Open your network preferences
  2. Open network preferences

  3. Select advanced settings
  4. Select Advanced Settings

     

  5. If you do not see CSWLAN click the (+) otherwise highlight CSWLAN and select the pencil/edit button
  6. Select Advanced Settings

     

  7. Complete the following fields:
    • Network Name:CSWLAN
    • Select WPA2 Enterprise for security method
    • Use your Computer Science account name for user name
    • Use your Computer Science account password for password
    • Select Automatic for 802.1X
    • Click Add/Save when done
  8. Setting Apple's Network Settings

     

  9. Click Apply when done with changes
  10. Apply Changes

     

  11. You may be prompted to Verify Certificate to make sure you are have the proper certificates
  12. Click Show Certificate

  13. Check Certificates

  14. Confirm that the name on the certificate is auth1.cs.fsu.edu

  15. Check Certificates

    If this is the case check Always trust “auth1.cs.fsu.edu” and click Continue

  16. Click Continue on the Verify Certificate prompt

  17. Check Certificates

 

You should now be connected to CSWLAN wireless network
